Back to La Paz

11 November 2007 | La Paz
Sean
Hi All! We're back in La Paz now. We anchored outside the Malecon right across from Burger King. It calls to us, be we do not answer (yet).

Once we anchored we ran for ice cream. I got in trouble because I kept saying, "Mas grande!" to the counter attendant. I wanted a large milkshake. Kathy yelled at me, "I can't believe that you spent $7.00 on a milkshake." Oops!

We're waiting on a couple of parts from Downwind marine. We ordered some parts 2 weeks ago and they're just getting on their way. I came to the conclusion, yesterday, that the reason people get stuck in La Paz is because they ordered parts from the states.

We got our laundry done. $18.00 for seven loads and they fold them for you. Well worth it, in my opinion. We have to pay a dollar to tie up to the dinghy dock at Marina de La Paz, and $1.50 for a hot shower. We're allowed to have free water at the dinghy dock so we'll transport some water over the next few days. They charge 3 dollars an hour to tie up to the dock, so we'll probably go in Monday, or Tuesday to wash the boat.

We're off to Crossroads church this morning and then go to the Magote for a cruiser kid's party later today. There's supposed to be some whale sharks on the north side of the Magote right now.
