Quick update: The main halyard is fixed. Ashley, our faithful friend crewing on Astra offered to go up on the mast, and before he finished his sentence I accepted.
He did a great job. The sheave for the main halyard was shot so we switched the main halyard to the sheave for the topping lift. It seems to work well now.
Tara is famous! She's been published in Latitudes and Attitudes on page 164
