2016 Cruise round UK
So here we are May 14th all is nearly ready Mars joins me to shift Difran 2 onto the pontoon at Bucklers, Paul joins on Monday and we are off Tuesday 17th May, Brighton, Dover, Chatham, Shotley, Lowestoft.

New Year
As I get older the winters seem of late to be cold wet and very windy. The Begining

What a change from our normal cruising ground up or down the channel.
But My Boat Designed and built by myself over a long period of time has given myself and many of her crew some pleasant sailing.
The problem as I see it. Difran 2 was designed in the mid 1970's so was of that time, deep keel solid construction fully framed and built of steel not really suitable for the Baltic.
But I have read so many reports of similar yachts that it now appears quite feasable.
We are now three weeks to go in the planning stage. Difran's crew are as keen as the skipper and hope two other Boat will join in the venture.
It's all looking good, Stuart & Judi are way ahead on Intrepid with Bob & Sue.
Their Blog has inspired me to attempt the same keeping my dear wife and family informed of progress.
Difran 2 has had a few additions to cope with bow's to mooring and a bit of extra space generated in antisipation of living aboard for a longer period.
We now have a plank Bowsprit to be able to swing round the fore stay and step ashore, still in development stage.
So what? Difran 2 has been in continuous development since first concieved, it was a project for retirement, and has proved a great enjoyment for many years.

2015 we have now completed the european Coast from Cuxhaven to Tregieur. we head west next. We have visited the South Coast UK to Falmouth But I fancy Round the UK...
