Difran 2 Baltic Cruise 2014

So here we are into the winter season but all is on the move. The late august paint went well with grandson Sam polishing the prop along with slapping some paint round the heads area a one deck head. Shaun Painted the hull anti Foul one side while I did the other. So the lady has had her bottom painted and pollished so to speake, re-launch and down to the buoy, A brief sail out one weekend a visit to friends on the River Crouch then My other son in law Matt Climbed the mast the day was wet and missle a wee Scottish hill fog but we got the new wind vane in place at the top of the mast the spreader ends re-taped and back to the mooring. Friday 6th November out for two days our friend Mattie is off to the carabiean on a big boat when we meet again is anybodies guess but an evening of good food wine and song will be enjoyed this winter.
Then to plans for 2016 round the UK Difran 2 has Crew offers for the north sea passage and wonder of wonders my daughter Fran has signed up for the caledonian cannal. I am lost for words The great pleasure this will give me.
So to Planning my good friend John Negus of Hullbridge has loaned the pilot books and my Regular Crew Mal and Josh seem commited to the project so it would seem it is all systems go. At 80 years old I need to adventure beyond any horizon.
