My interest in sailing started with viewing this documentary Hold Fast. If you haven't watched it yet, I would recommend it.
I first went sailing last year around Christmas. My girlfriend and I went down to Mobile Bay to visit my uncle and try out sailing. We spent a few hours out there in great conditions, and I loved it. I took out my camera and we made a small video with it. http://youtu.be/RjJhv3ks6QU.
After that things kinda slowed down for me. My sailing interest has mainly become reading about it and looking at videos. But, this next year I plan on joining the sailing club at my university and getting some experience. Then some day in the near future I would love to find an old boat and fix it up. That is why I joined this blog - to network with with others and see what people have done with their boats and renovations. If anyone is starting a project let me know, I would love to follow it.
This is just the beginning.
