Well this was another day of doing nothing - it's getting to be a habit!
Gerry "found" stuff to do, in other words he invented jobs to occupy his day. He put some extra bracing on some of the pipework to the engine as it was apparently vibrating (this is the first I'd heard of the problem!). Having done that he replaced some of the insulation on the fridge / freezer pipework as it had begun to disintegrate. Whilst he did that I made up a cottage pie for the evening meal, using up all the vegetables that were about to die anyway and managing to keep well out of Gerry's way at the same time. Once we had both finished with the "busy" stuff it was just about time for lunch so I threw together some bacon, mushroom and herb crepes, making enough crepes to have for breakfast tomorrow - forward planning as it taxes the brain to think in the mornings! The entire afternoon was spent / wasted doing nothing. Gerry examined the backs of his eyelids whilst I sat in the cockpit listening to music and reading my book. There wasn't even any entertainment to tell you about - for the second day in a row there weren't any cruise ships in to watch and the harbor was fairly empty with no one coming or going! We managed sundowners in the cockpit watched the sun disappear behind the clouds - so no photos of the green flash, the quest continues! I think we were quiet happy to have dinner, finish the Belgian chocolates that we bought yesterday (yes they lasted for almost 2 days!), watch some TV (currently watching Mr Robot which has me totally at a loss as to what is going on) and eventually go to bed. On a sad note it looks like the mint in my aero garden is dying, I have no idea why as mint normally grows like a weed, it's going to limit the amount of mojitos that Gerry can drink! Everything else seems to be thriving though, if anyone has a decent recipe requiring loads of Thai Basil please let me know! I have added a second photo of our forward cabin to give you a different view showing the wardrobe space - not that we use it as a wardrobe, it's where Gerry keeps all of his tools so it's a good job we don't have a great deal of clothing to store! I'll get a few more photos of the rest of the interior once I've tidied up the mess and it looks reasonable. I hope I have more to share with you tomorrow but don't hold your breath.
