Lazy day on the boat

Weather; sunny with late showers, wind n/a, waves n/a

I forgot to add yesterday that Gerry tested the single side band radio after lunch, calling Dale on it - the transmission and reception were quite clear for the first time ever, bonus! I have to add that we are only a few hundred yards away from Gypsy Palace so the real test will happen when we are a bit further apart but at least for now it's looking promising. I also forgot to say that I spent a while in the afternoon taking apart, re stitching and adding ties to 2 cushions that we use to prevent the dinghy from rubbing against the back of the boat when it is on the davits - that took a lot of patience and far too much time to not mention on here!
So to today, nothing much happened at all today, Gerry removed the redundant panel for the towed generator and covered up the hole with a blank panel. Next job removing the instruments from the old panel and tested the volt meter which was inaccurate, so he then tried to find a new one without success - this is now an ongoing story, to be continued when he contacts Budget Marine who hopefully will have a new one in stock. After lunch he had a nana nap before making some water and ice. Meanwhile I did next to nothing, spending the morning colouring in a picture in the book that Lorie has donated for the cause. I did get a bit busy this afternoon making a quiche for tomorrow and a salad to take over to Gypsy Palace for tonight's get together for dinner of Fajitas. We joined dale and Lorie for sundowner cocktails, a splendid dinner, watched the sun vanish and the moon rise over the hill Ð that was a spectacular sight tonight as it was pretty much a full moon, sorry no photos of it as I didn't have the camera with me. Lorie gave me the photos of us under sail on the way back from Cinnamon Bay so I have included one to keep you amused for now. The Guys have plans to search out some boat bits tomorrow and there is talk of maybe going to the super store to do it, Lorie and I might tag along as we need to get some exercise and I'm sure there are things we need to buy. So that was another lazy day gone.
