So we gave up the thought of going to Minerva Reef late this afternoon. Chatted with several cruiser in Minerva North and another cruiser very near us called Katydid, a single hander. Been chatting with him for the last couple of days and sharing grib info. He invited me to join them on a personal net this morning at 0800 down at 6212mhz SSB. We were there but his friends werenÂ't so reconnected this evening.
After a lengthy chat Lisa and I had a good pow wow and came to the conclusion that Minerva wasnÂ't someplace we wanted to go for the next several days. We are now pointed directly at SavuSavu. Plan on pushing hard for next couple days to get in by Wednesday.
OK had enough of this bashing back and forth. Will tell the rest of the story when we are at anchor.
Suffice to say 40 knots of wind is no fun for any reason.
