than a day early!
John chillin by the sea.
We took last Thursday off from boat chores to celebrate John's birthday.
The view from the beach.
The pools at the Westin. Nice!
More pics of the Westin.
Firewalking show.
Little did we know that we were celebrating a day early, until later in the day when John saw a newspaper, or something that said it was actually the 19th of March, instead of the 20th. Oops! Oh well, looks like we'll have to try again tomorrow! I was game to re-celebrate, but John would have none of it. So we actually spent his birthday, Friday, working all day at the boat. What a drag. But we had a fun finish to the evening. We went to our favorite Fijian restaurant, Nadina, at the port, and we got to see both Anna and Aggie, who new it was John's birthday. We had a great meal, then were treated to a big birthday cupcake and a birthday song. Followed by Aggie smearing frosting all over John's face, and then he chasing Aggie all throughout the restaurant for pay back. Some people never grow up.
We moved out of the Westin resort today and are fully aboard Orcinius once again, baggage and all. We have to keep some of our luggage out in the cockpit as there is just no room inside for it all. Not sure what we are going to do when the pallet of more stuff arrives. But the good news is, the ship with our pallet aboard has departed LA over a week ago and is well on it's way to Fiji. So far, so good, but we may be needing to build an addition on to Orcinius to carry it all.
All is well on our side of the earth. All for now,
Lisa
