We still have at least 4 days to go to get to Oahu. It turned out to be a very starry night. We had
slipped right in behind a small low that has moved off to the West. We might have to pay the price
with very little wind. Thank goodness for the steel genoa.
The port engine is still acting up. We have had the fuel line system apart and back to gether so many
times we could do it blindfolded. We are limping along on it at 2100 RPM but if try any higher RPMs it
becomes fuel starved. When we check the first stage filter it is full of fuel so I am of the belief
that it has to be past that. When it shows starvation, We can put it into neutral and rev it up t0
2600 and back down and re-engage the tansmission to put it under load and it runs fine a 2100 for quite
some time but not any faster or it immediatly goes back into fuel starvation.
Since we have been running the tanks down to the very low side, my next option is to pull out the
pickup tube with a screen cover and make sure it isn't partially plugged. Other than that I will run
the Port engine until I am sure we have used almost all the fuel in that tank and then switch back to
the Starboard until we get to HI.
Other than that pain all is good on Orcinius.
