Nanaimo to Montague
25 May 2011
After our fun in Nanaimo we headed to peaceful Poets Cove under cloudy skies, and light drizzle. The seas gradually got worse throughout the trip, from slight chop to uncomfortable hay stacks and had us reconsidering whether we should push on to Poets or tuck in at Montague Harbour. One look inside at Missy told us that Montague Harbour was our next stop. Since it has been awhile that we have been away from the dock, we were all still getting our sea legs and she was not looking comfortable or happy! As the rain came down & the temperature plummeted, we changed course & took a mooring buoy at Montague Harbour. Darren took Missy to shore while I warmed a big pot of soup on the stove and a couple mugs of tea. We lit a fire and sat happily tucked inside and thankful for our lovely, safe anchorage.
