How time flies!

Amazing and embarrassing all at the same time! I was reading other blogs this evening and realized that it had been some time since I had done an update to our own blog. I became sheepish when I saw the last entry was the holiday season! I guess that is what happens when you move onto land again, and tie the boat up at the local marina.
It was an interesting time for us living on our boat for two years and taking 3 - 4 months both years to do some sailing. First summer, local sailing on Vancouver Island and the second summer spreading our wings on an adventure from Victoria to Alaska! They were both incredible experiences, and left us with alot of wonderful memories!
We arrived back in the fall and moved back onto land, winterizing our boat until the spring season. Now that spring season has arrived, we have been blessed to spend many a sunny afternoon down at the boat, getting her all ready for another season. We took her out a few times earlier this year, but unfortunately weather conditions didn't lend us to going very far from home.
We don't have any big trips planned for this year....time to pad our cruising kitty for future trips that we hope to do next year. For this year we will happily settle for evening sails and BBQ's on the water, while stealing weekends away whenever we can! If all goes the way we hope workwise, a possible week or two sailing get-a-way may be in the offering this summer! Fingers crossed!
I promise to keep this a little more updated than every six months.....even if it does just include pics from our local sailing outings!
Happy sailing everyone!
