......Still waiting

15 February 2010 | Marathon!!
I'm sad to say - we are still here. The weather has just not cooperated at all and we are faced with persistent Northerly winds - no good for crossing the Gulf Stream. The harbor here is full with a 20 boat waiting list - a reflection of the fact that nobody is leaving. So, we now enter our third week of waiting and we cannot see any chance of leaving for another week at least. Oh well - we are still enjoying ourselves and at least the sun is shining and there is no sign of snow! And the sunsets are marvellous.

We have met up with Walt and Mary from "Orion", one of our buddy boats from 2 years ago. This year they have rented a house and have a truck and laundry - they are our best friends!@!

The worst part of being delayed is that Legacy are patiently waiting for us in the Exumas and we feel bad for them. We have the spare parts for their watermaker and I'm hoping that they haven't starved as they wait in vain.
