Had forgotten that internet connections become more tenuous the further East you get. Have had a frustrating few days trying to post updates with no success. We are now in beautiful Northeast Harbor on Mount Desert Island. This is possibly my favorite anchorage on the whole of the East coast. Quick recap: we left Cradle Cove and traveled to Buck's Harbor at the Northwest end of Eggemoggin Reach. After a peaceful night there we motored down the Reach and spent the night at Wooden Boat School where we enjoyed a spectacular sunset. This morning we were up in time to catch the favorable tide to Northeast Harbor. Sadly, after a beautiful sail on Tuesday, the winds have completely deserted us and we are motoring to our destinations. Usually, however, this only takes an hour or so before we arrive at the next picturesque harbor. And so at last, we are truly cruising again. We have been lucky with the weather so far - nice and warm for t-shirts and shorts in the daytime and cooling off for perfect sleeping at night.
