Preparing for the worst - hoping for the best
06 September 2008
We had a fairly good night - just having to jump up at 1.00am to close the hatches as it started to pour with rain. This morning it was foggy, very humid and hot! But no wind yet. We spent the morning finishing up all the preps. As you can see in the photo we have stripped everything out of the cockpit and stowed it all below. The green bag is our overnight stuff - we are going ashore tonight! Hannah came ashore early this morning as a tropical storm about 100 miles wide and blowing 50knots with higher gusts. There will probably be some weakening by the time she gets here which can only be good.
