Working hard

Apologies (especially to the Emeraldians) for not giving any updates for a while but there is not a lot of news to report. I have been working hard in Maine, Tom has been working hard in Rhode Island. I did spend a weekend down there 2 weeks ago and I'm glad to report that things are moving along. The engine is finally installed and almost ready to go. The sea trial is planned for next week.
This is my last week of work so I am really looking forward to going back home. The current plan is to finish up as many jobs on Osprey as possible and get some hours logged on the new engine before a departure for points South around mid-September. More frequent updates should resume in a couple of weeks.
The photo shows one of my Dad's paintings that we finally hung on one of the bulkheads. It's amazing how just a few little touches make Osprey more like true home.
Speaking of the Emeraldians - for my fellow Brits, you may want to check out their Blog (link to the right) as they are currently cruising the South coast of the UK (having departed from Brighton). I love to read their blog - it makes me nostalgic for England - perhaps we will sail Osprey over there one day!
