Sunshine Coast or Raincoast?

After about a 2-1/2 hour trip from Secret Cove, we arrived in Pender Harbor late morning yesterday. The scenery coming into Pender Harbor was stunning as we navigated through numerous islands and dropped anchor in one of several bays. It's a fairly crowded anchorage (picture above taken from Sea Quell), so we were lucky to find space. There are several restaurants, a pub, and a small grocery store close to the water and very accessible.
This area is part of the Sunshine Coast (a name that locals are quite proud of); however, the weather has been rainy and overcast until this evening. Neal has been asking the locals we run into if we are on the 'Sunshine Coast'. This afternoon it was dry enough to repair the fiberglass on one of the kayaks which had a small hole in the hull. With the sunshine expected tomorrow, we should be able to drop the kayaks in the water and go exploring!
The pace here is slow and the people are very friendly. And, rain or shine, this is one of the most beautiful areas I've sailed to.
