Disheartened, the search for a boat resumed, but with little enthusiasm. We gathered a list of four or five potential candidates (all in Brisbane yet again) and made a time to fly over and see them. We did this to coincide with the filming in Murwillumbah of a TV arts programme 'Put Some Colour In Your Life' on which I was being featured. I think the episode is still
on-line. You can find my website
here BTW .. go look, buy, like on Facebook... just do it!!) :D
We spent the first two days looking at the boats but with no luck. They were either too small, bad set-up, no storage, needed new engines, needed too much doing to them, were filled with water
inside the boat! It didn't look good.
We travelled to Murwillumbah to shoot the show and had a lovely time with fabulous people and it was nice to take our minds off of boats for a bit. We needed a break, so we took the last day off, caught up with my beautiful niece, her partner and her new baby son Chase and then went to Dreamworld!
When we got home to Adelaide we felt as if we'd got completely nowhere and felt worse than ever about our prospects of finding that one great boat.
Then out of the blue, it happened....
