Just talked to Dave... and they're under way!!

They would have left sooner than they did but last night they discovered that the propane tanks were almost empty. By the time they realised, it was too late to have them filled so a quick morning trip was needed, which put them back for a while. That would have been a disaster... cold baked beans, no coffee!! They would have had to survive on whiskey and biscuits... well whiskey anyway. :)

They managed to get out of the marina without hitting, sinking or generally causing any mayhem or trauma to anything or anybody, which is excellent considering the problems he had had the first time he tried to manoeuvre the boat from the dock. He realised at that time it's wasn't as easy as our 20 footer.

They have made their way through the narrow passages from the marina and are heading to the Broadwater. They'll be heading south through the Broadwater passages down the coast of Queensland. It'll be interesting to see how many times they get lost. :)

Apparently blood has already been spilled from sundry cuts and scrapes, which doesn't bode well for me as I am, to say the least, a teensy bit clumsy at times.

That's about all I know at the moment... back when I know more. :D
