We spent a wonderful summer of 2024 visiting family and friends in California and New Zealand, welcoming two new grandchildren to the family, Evangaline and Bjorn. After coming back to iliohale in Barra, we bashed up to La Cruz to haul out and get new bottom paint, service the out drives and re-bed our safety hatches.
Peter at SeaTek did a rig inspection, required by insurance, as we plan to cross the Pacific Ocean to French Polynesia, Cook Island, Niuie, Tonga and New Zealand this next year. Lucky he did, as he found a couple of nicked wires on our cap shrouds, requiring replacement. Better now than when we are out there....
After replacing the compromised rigging, we headed back to Perula to visit Alan and Dianne Epperson, then headed to Barra, Las Hadas, and Zihuatanejo for some fun.
