Bus trip to Sayulita

I'm not good at staying caught up on these things. We are now into the New Year and I'm going to reach back to November when Bill, Buddy and I were in La Cruz. We took a bus trip up to Sayulita to see Bill's friend Chris. Chris used to work with Cindy, Bill's wife, and has semi-retired to Mexico, living on the beach at San Pancho, also known as San Francisco, just north of Sayuluita, a very popular small tourist enclave. We caught the bus to Sayulita where Chris picked us up for a day at his place on the beach, but more on that later. This is about the bus ride. It was one of those "local buses" not the luxury liner type and was an interesting half hour plus ride up Mexico's Highway 200 from Bucarias where we caught the bus. The highway in this area is two lanes, windy, pretty much jungle hill side. The drivers down here make a percentage of the ticket sales and are always pushing to get to the next bus stop and stay on time. They pretty much tail gate anyone that slows their progress until that vehicle moves over. Interesting system.
This picture is at the bus stop outside Sayulita where Chris dropped us off that evening to catch the bus home. This was pretty basic, but gets the job done. I'll post another inland trip on the luxury liner end of the scale. If you look closely you'll see Buddy seated at the back, right of center and Bill is standing off to the right. We didn't have to wait too long and were on our way back to the boat. Another interesting day.
