Back in Rodney Bay

The next day was spent shopping for food and boat bits without pushing the energy levels too much. The one good surprise was in the supermarket they had fresh chooks at a decent price, the first time in about 5 months, so it was time to fire up the bbq and burn some chicken. J & S came over with some pasta dishes and we had a lovely evening chatting, eating and drinking too much until late. I am not sure if it has been mentioned before but Jeremy does not have an off switch when it comes to a few beers.
In the morning up came the anchor and we set sail for Rodney Bay, St Lucia, the first place we arrived at after crossing the Atlantic. It was only 25 miles and the breeze was kind, staying at 20kts so we had a fast passage and were anchored again by lunch time.
Then the usual customs formalities and chandlery parts as Pannikin is due for an oil change again. Joy’s motor has developed a strange noise so Jeremy arranged a mechanic to come out to his boat to find the problem, it turned out to be a water pump bearing. We were hoping it can be repaired quickly so we can be on our way again soon.
