Open for inspection

02 May 2014 | Panormitis. Lavrio Greece
fine and sunny but cool
A look at Panormitis
Finally most of the work gear has been put away and Panormitis is open for inspection.
The photos are of the saloon, galley, our cabin and ensuite plus our spacious cockpit with table and seating . The drop down blind is great for privacy from the marina spectators, as well as reducing the wind factor. There is one for the side as well but with the coming and going it isn't practical to have it up.
Panormitis has 4 cabins all ensuited plus there is a crews cabin and a crew toilet which is manually operated while the others are electric flush. There are 2 outside showers as well.
The winch wench from T-REX has been replaced by an electric winch so putting Gary up the mast is press button. We have a generator, a watermaker and the boat is airconditioned. Not that we will use it unless at a marina so we have fitted fans in the stern cabins. All the hatches are screened......bonus as the mosquitoes have arrived already.....not sure how they negotiate the winds to find their way inside, but they do.
There was one fridge and a large ice box when we arrived but now we have one fridge and a very large freezer. Supposed to be another fridge but it is freezing so we are taking advantage of it but think perhaps when we are having temperatures in the 20's it may really be a fridge. There is a 4 burner stove with an oven with a grill. We sent our caravan coffee maker over and have added a microwave so the galley is pretty much done. I would have liked a washing machine as last time I reckoned I could have bought a couple of machines with what was spent in laundries along the way. The idea is on hold as there is no way one could be put on board through the narrow doors, plus John (another Australian next to us) has one and it uses 70 ltrs of water to wash 4 kg so they don't use it. I think there is more pondering to be done in that area.
I think that covers most of the interesting parts ( for the females who read this) and you will have an idea of our living conditions for the coming months.
