They have arrived

18 February 2015 | Simpson Bay
The turnbuckles have finally arrived....nice and shiny they are, will need sunglasses on when the sun hits them. With some fiddling the old ones are off and the new ones fitted and are being adjusted at the moment. One would now think we would be ready to leave. But no ......there is a weather front causing some strong winds up until next week so we'll play it by ear regarding leaving for the BVIs. Andreas has had a birthday and while he had gone to St Barths, once he was back in the lagoon we joined him and Daniel for the best ribs I have tasted, cooked by Andreas and served on board "Matilda". Sorry Andy and Jane, you were missing from the table but I can tell you he is definately looking after your boat.
There was supposed to be a festival on in Marigot with street parades but there was no advertising and the cruisers sked in the morning was trolling for details to no avail. Maybe they don't want outsiders there. The shops were closed there yesterday and no one could advise the situation for today......that's the French I suppose....and no festival for us.
