Thesssalon to Detour Village

We decided to go for it so left at 9:47. Cloudy but warm and calm. We motored close to the USA border then called Sault Ste Marie to check in. We still have to go to Drummond Island to get our cruising licence so we were told to do the whole check in at Drummond. We arrived at 13:00 but the Customs Officers were out until 14:00. Check in went smoothly except the paperwork I had for the licence was incorrect and it will take 2-7 days to get it. The only problem is we were advised that we couldn't leave and come back for it. We decided not to stay and we will have to start the process over and get the licence after we leave the USA and before we return.
We left Drummond with a strong SE wind maintaining 7 knots with only the headsail up. As we approached Detour Harbour a squall started with rain and increasing winds. The dock hands were great and helped us get into the slip safely. Arrival 16:45 Log 25.3
29knot winds shortly after we tied up with higher gusts. Wifi is sketchy so I'll try to post todays pictures in the gallery soon.
