Dawn Start
Up at 4.30am [we must be mad]! To get to Pancake Creek before tomorrow, when a S Easter is forecast, means a very long haul today. We will pass Cape Capricorn at about 10am before sailing down the outside of Curtis Island and Gladstone etc.

Another Ripper!!
Another day, this time up at 5am and underway at 5.40am. The water is like oil, not a breath of wind. The clouds are quite heavy at present, but it is very early yet.
Tranquility
Anchor up and off again by 6.30am, a lovely day, but nil wind, however lovely flat water!
The current is against us at 2kts, so although our next anchorage is only 44 miles away, we will take all day even though we are motor sailing at 6kts.
The tides in this area are large at 6mtrs rise and fall.
The army are exercising as well , so we must go around all that area, the plus side is that we can still use Pearl Bay to anchor.
Well, it turned out to be a glorious sail, the wind came in at 12-15kts, and we had a current change at lunch time. This actually was at 1.8- 2.3kts in our favour.
Therefore, we flew down, and anchored at 4pm. A cup of tea was just the thing!!!! At least for me.....
