Sail Past under Penang Bridge

9.00am on the 4th saw a fleet of only 15 "dressed" yachts leave Jerejak to sail under the bridge in convoy. Sadly the rest had already gone ahead to the marina and could not be bothered to do the sail past. The organisers were very disappointed, however we had a full main up in the 15 knot northerly and certainly looked the part. Then Nikki, Chris, Kate and Mark joined us on board at the marina to catch up on all the family news etc. The visit was all too short and they left at 6 am on the 5th for KL then back to Brisbane and Chris to Brazil.
It is very hot today and we have had a quiet day on board, resting before the Gala(h) dinner this evening. A great night with an incredible childrens group playing giant drums, much bigger than themselves - had us enveloped by an amazing sound with dramatic visual effects. Then after some excellent Indian sitar music a dance music group got us all on our feet - even Stuart..
