A quick run down to the next Island, absolutely nil wind, mirror water, we could see the bottom in 14 mtrs.
Richard went below and reported a flood in the shower and engine room. A fresh water high pressure coupling had failed, and at the same time a hose clamp on a salt water hose to the watermaker also failed. We have now replaced nearly every hose clamp on the boat. The Taiwanese clamps purchased from Whitworths have all failed, some in only a few months. The only clamps that seem to work are the much more expensive ones that we constantly search for.
After cleaning up and replacing parts, all is well again. The major downside was that we lost all our fresh water, luckily the watermaker is still chugging to replenish enough to get us to Langkawi tomorrow. Apart from all that this is a nice bay but again very busy, and lots of noisy longtails.
