"phitness"

Gidday all from sunny La Paz. We left Muertos on Tuesday and motor sailed (due to wind on the nose) the 58 nm to La Paz. Fishing was lack luster as water temps cooled again although we snagged a skippy (Skipjack Tuna), at day break which we released in hopes of appeasing Neptune. Since we have arrived we have been doing the usual deep cleaning, laundry, reprovisioning, Todd replaced the water pump, and hiking all over town. Today our shin's are really sore as we haven't done any long distance walking in a month and swimming doesn't have the same effect. Hopefully our legs will be back in shape by next week when we have 3 friends arriving who will walk our feet off! The weather has been terrific with cool nights and mornings and warm to hot and breezy days. We plan to do some "tiki-touring" of the close islands next week, and possibly rent a car and visit the Hotel California and a few other close attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed the 6 days we spent in Muertos and of course, the 3 days of surfing the longest wave in the world at Matachen Bay. The waves were so easy to catch and gave a slowish and very smooth ride such that even I was able to try some cross stepping and turning moves. More later!
