Wow, did it get warm in the last few days!! 100-102 degree's and dry.( Kinda liking the idea of some cool moist weather about now). We had a great week with our old windsurfing mates from CA and UT who were here for a week and left yesterday. There was some good walking around (shins have recovered from previous excursions), an overnight anchorage to ourselves at Ensenada el Gallo on Espiritu Santos, and a fun day of paddle boarding and spear fishing at Puerto Balandra. We visited a wonderful family run pottery shop at Ibarra Pottery here in La Paz, ate terrific Mx food at Ranch0 Viejo (where you can order by the kilo if you desire!), and spent some afternoons at the hotel pool when it got too hot. Tomorrow we head out again to spend a few weeks visiting more of the beautiful anchorages in the Sea of Cortez before returning to La Paz. In the end we didn't rent a car for the Hotel Ca trip as it just got too hot ( and the last car we rented got rear ended 2 hrs after pick up and we ended up paying 176.00$ for the 10% deductible on the insurance that we had fortunately purchased. Interesting concept in that your insurance covers you, not them. Everyone stops, gets out to look at damage, then goes on their way), and hung out at the pool instead. Looking forward to being on the hook again soon, it's so nice being able to jump overboard we you need to cool off! Happy ANZAC day to you folks "down under", cheers for now!
