The sunrise on the banks was as spectacular as the sunset, but totally different. Hope our haikus and photos help you see it. Roger's haiku (Ephemeral gems, Sparkle on the ocean's edge, as the sun rises). Susan's haiku (sailing towards diamonds, leaving a trail of opals, sunrise on the banks). Though the weather was perfect for the anchoring, there was no wind on the banks and we did not get to pull out sails until we were in the Tongue of the Ocean and turning down towards Morgan's Bluff. It is striking how quickly the ocean comes up to the banks here. One moment you are in a thousand feet or more and the next moment 200! The nature of the water and waves changes almost as quickly.
We anchored in Morgan's bluff for the night with about 20 other boats and plan to head to the west end of New Providence Island tomorrow after a quick walk on shore.
