Hurricane Season 2011.
After my delivery in Trinidad I installed me in St George bay, unfortunately there were some family problems that I had to look after, with the result I had to return to Belgium for the funeral of my Mother.
My stay in Grenada was very pleasant, I was lucky, I did meet several other Belgium boats, so social live was guaranteed.
With the new friends we went to the Carnival, visited the 7 falls and participated on the hash where I lost my virginity. Made very long walks on the beach. So, all by all, I had a very good time.
Also for working on the boat this is a good place, we have Budget, Waterworld and Ace. There also several service providers, so all is available.
I was looking for a new sawing machine as mine broke down , we did purchase this machine in 1980, so parts are not longer available, but on a chopping trip to St George I did find a chop who still had the needed parts in stock, so my sawing machine is working again.
My sailing program for this season was the Bahamas but, this is again postponed, as I have visitors in April for Martinique. I will go North and visit whole the small island I did miss in the past, like petit Martinique, round island till St Maarten that I visit to purchase some items and then return back South so I am in April in Martinique.
The next hurricane season I think I will be back in Grenada, there are still a lot of places to visit on the island.
Good sailing to all.
