Stuart: The stop over that lasted two months
We came to the Harborage Yacht Club and Marina in Stuart, Florida on the suggestion of Dave and Ginger Kauppi (S/V Avalon). They had heard about it from E. Don and Eileen Smith M/V Shangra La) Paul and Dawn Gudelis came for a visit and made the video of their visit.
We pulled in on December 4, 2009 and we found a facility beyond the usual hype, this place is great. Clean, well cared for, a short distance to the City of Stuart, really helpful people and at a reasonable cost. The beautiful club house includes a pool and hot tub. The workout room is well appointed with modern machines plus a sauna and steam shower. The club also includes a first class restaurant and every Thursday night they host a "meet and greet". Yoga classes are offered by the pool a couple of days a week. We had planned to stay a month which included a 3 week visit to Seattle to visit Sarah and Lauren. Here we are two months later still in lovely Stuart..
