Long leg today - 47 miles. Was up early today, drank a bit to much at the Pour Inn in Lyons. Part of the trip was a bit hazy. Lesson learned, don't drink al ot before a long leg.....Yeah, this advise won't be followed. About 20 miles in, we were on the Seneca River. Picked up about .25 knots off of the current. Started to rain just at Cross Lake. There was supposed to be an island out there but none to be found do to the high water. There was a narrow cut just after the lake. saw speeds up to 8.3 knots....yes hull speed. Two more locks, 23 to go.
