I added some pictures, so look at some of the older post. This is a shot of Perrovida at the Parisio Marina. I spent two weeks in the anchorage in the background. Had a great time in both locations
Saturday , not sure what Month, almost Memorial day 08
Getting ready to head south once more. Isla is a wonderful place, very easy living here. I came into the marina a couple of weeks ago to get ready for Dianes arrival. The boat is now in great shape but Diane was unable to come as her father got quite ill. At one point I was getting ready to head back to Florida so I could be with the family but things finally turned for the better. So Diane will meet me in Belize in about 3 weeks or so. The weather window is open for heading south. Some boats will head out Monday. I am thinking of leaving Tuesday with Caribbean soul and one other boat. The plan is to hop down the Mexican coast then jump to Belize. I should be stopping in Puerto Morelos, Purta Adventures,Akumal,Tulum,Punta Allen,Banco Chinchorro,Xcalak then to San Pedro Belize
I took the dingy over to the Pemex dock and loaded 25 gallons of diesel and filled Perrovidas tanks. , then went back and refilled the 5 jerry cans with extra diesel, cost was about 2.20 a gallon. Dove around the boat and scrubbed the bottom a bit. Went up the mast to see why the main halyard is hanging up. The pulley is jammed and I did not want to take it apart and not be able to get it working within a few days. I think It will be OK until Rio Dulce, I hope. I re-did all the teak outside and the floors inside. The boat has never looked better. T & S are going to watch Guinness on Sunday while I go to Cancun to the wall mart and buy a whole bunch of groceries. I need to decide if I will get Guinness to a Vet and get a Mexican health permit for him to show Belize. I probably will do that. Off The Grid is leaving there boat here while they go back and fatten the cruising kitty in Orlando. They are not sure if they will continue south after they return because of a possible job in the UK. Diane and I hope to see them in the Rio Dulce later in the summer. I have become the weather man on the morning radio net. I did this to become better at figuring the weather out. I know very little but am working on it. I get a bit of ribbing at happy hour about my predictions. If it looks like rain and I did not call it out I watch and hope it does not rain and if it does Istay away from happy hour. I was talking to a guy on a trimaran and he was thinking of heading south soon but was unsure about the weather window. I asked him where he was getting his info and he said " From the weather guy on the net every morning" I asked what else he was looking at and he said "That's all, just the weather guy" I added a disclaimer the next morning` " all the following weather info should be assumed to be wrong and not listened too. I am not the Man from Del Monte.. So Guinness and I keep busy and the tropical days just roll by
