Fiona
I've just been woken by Annina for my watch. She said that she had been sick and with the calm seas it certainly wasn't seasickness. I had been in a very deep sleep but no more than half an hour later I was feeding the fishes as well. Seeing as we all so close together, (viral, unlikely) and eating the same things,(food poisoning, more likely) I think there are 3 more possible victims presently fast asleep on this vessel. I'm trying to figure out the offending food...and muster the energy to deal with the potentially sick crew.

We had gorgeous sailing for the last 24 hours until our wind started to lighten up around noon, forcing us to motorsail which we have done for the most part since then. There is wind to the East and North of us so that is where we're headed. Annina saw the first ship of the passage on her watch yesterday and Tommy saw one a short while later. Our friends on Demelza a few hundred miles ahead of us saw 5 in 24 hours so we are clearly on the Asia to the Americas shipping route. With rare exceptions these boats all have AIS so we can spot them before we see their lights but we will have to be supervigilant.
