We had received many recommendations to visit, and we have not been disappointed.
First though we went in search of some back treatment for Norma - a taxi to El Algar took us to a very considerate and careful osteopath and physiotherapist who after 90 minutes made some improvements, so that was good. We celebrated with a fine tapas lunch in El Churroscos and then back to Minnie B.
We have visited the splendid Roman Theatre which has been carefully stabilised and restored, the Naval Museum with the first submarine to fire an underwater torpedo, the Civil War shelters museum, and Conception Castle overlooking the harbour. It is a very nice town to wander around with some lovely late 19th century buildings, restored after the bombing in the Civil War.
We also managed to find a bar frequented by Spanish rugby fans so we could watch the final of the European Champions Cup (Saracens beat Leinster so Phil smiling but Norma not).
Now we plan for the trip to the Balearics - wind is a bit inconsistent, to say the least.
