Sunny in Morro Bay!

18 October 2018 | Morro Bay
0930 hrs. With swells from the south-west and hardly any wind, we motor-sailed from San Simeon to Morro Bay. I've appointed myself as Pinocchio's official lookout for whales and found a comfy spot on the foredeck to hang out for 4 hours. No whales today.

Early in the day, we noticed a fog bank off Morro Bay. The last time we enter Morro Bay, we did not have radar and had to sleuth our way carefully past each buoy. One of the upgrades to Pinocchio was radar. We thought today, it might start paying for itself. However, upon reaching the bar entrance to MB, the fog had cleared, providing us clear visibility! Happy it was clear...radar will have to wait to earns it’s $ and weight!

Otters entertained us along the way to the harbor. They played "dive and hide" from Susan, Pinocchio's official photographer, each time she attempt a photo opportunity. Otters won!

Evening presented us with a spectacular sunset off Morro Rock! A great way to end a non-eventful day.
