Reunited, And It Feels So Good!

Susan Micheletti
Our adventurous sailing friends from Richmond Yacht Club, John and Diane, sailed into Banderas Bay on their beautiful Hans Christian 38, SV Tabu Soro a few days ago.

David and I walked to the end of the jetty at Marina La Cruz to watch them come into Marina La Cruz. They both looked healthy, fit, and happy after their two-month voyage from San Francisco. It was great to welcome friends from our home port of San Francisco.

Last evening we all enjoyed a dinner at La Cruz Inn and were entertained by cabaleros showing off their reining skills on the cobblestone street in front of the Inn. A Friday night event, every week. What fancy footsteps those caballos have!

John and Diane are doing the Puddle Jump to French Polynesia. It looks like we will have a couple of weeks to enjoy their company here, before we begin our trip north to the Sea of Cortez and they sail southwest to the Marquesas. I'll be vicariously experiencing their sailing adventure tracking them on Inreach and reading their blog. Or maybe I will become a "stow-away" on Tabu Soro! Stayed tuned...!
