At P-town

We had a wonderful week in P-town. Matt and Marg joined us for a couple of days. We played bridge (I truly believe I am getting better at it) and strolled about the town feeling a little bit underdressed in style and overdressed in amount of clothing.
Andrew came out to Por Dos on 4th of July to spend the day with Alec and Roan. First we went to the morning parade. On our way we crossed paths, by serendipity, with Ralph and Marion, who were also in P-town for the celebration.
The parade was less colorful than I expected but the kids with a bag full of candy on their pockets thought it was great.
In the afternoon, Alec, Andrew and Roan swam, went kayaking and make such a racket that Captain Morwood missed out on his nap.
The firework barge was no more than 500 ft from us so we had prime seats. We had a good crowd: Andrew, Sarah, Dak and Andrew's grandparents, Ralph and Marion, Matt, Marg and us. Riesling and pies with melting ice cream kept us busy while waiting. The fireworks were good and three times as long as Matt anticipated. ("Finale!" Oops! There is more. "This is it, mates! The Finale!" Oops! Still going. "Hmm! Is this it?"☺)
Matt and Marg left on Thursday. It was very sad to see them go. I am going to miss our Wed dates for dinner and bridge. See you in September.
