Initially we were going straight to Portland to start our Maine cruise but we kept changing to a closer destination as the winds grew lighter and lighter. We made it to Gloucester for the night. Uneventful sailing in calm seas and light W winds, except for few whale sightings. We alternated between spinnaker and engine depending on the wind strength. My speed limit is around 2.8 or 3 knots below that I rather had the noise of the engine ringing in my ears that the rigging banging around.

In Gloucester, we anchored off Ten Pound Island and went in search of a grocery shop. The closest one was the expensive sister of Whole Paycheck, I mean, Foods. Everything was organic, biologically proper, environmentally fit, grass-fed, cage-free and priced accordingly. One bag of food and couple of hundred dollars later, we sat in the cockpit to enjoy a wonderful sunset.
