I had to agree with Harriet from Hands Across the Seas, one just moves up the Delaware Bay across the C&D Canal and into the Chesapeake Bay as quickly as possible. Flat land, very industrial, murky waters and big cargo ships! Not a pretty place!

Mark steered the boat the whole way while Alec and Roan and I were concentrating on schoolwork. We exited the C&D Canal into the Chesapeake Bay and anchored in Veasy Cove a shallow little bay on the Bohemia River. It was very quiet and peaceful with scattered mansions among trees. The water, though, had not improved a bit. It was warmer than Block Island but you could not see your feet when the water was up to your knees. I have never seen anything so cloudy. Mark had thought on re-checking the propeller but clearly (not pun intended) he will need to wait until the Bahamas.
