... Captain Morwood. Yes! He was the first to barf this season. This is how it happened. We anchored on the NW side of Otranto harbor, to wait out the forecast northerly winds. It was well protected from the Northerly winds but a swell from the east northeast was coming short and choppy into the anchorage. Our first night there, Por Dos oriented herself with the swell so we were comfortable enough but early in the morning she oriented herself with the NW wind and with the swell which had not abated. It felt as if we were inside a washing machine. My clever husband rigged a line from the boat's stern to the anchor chain that forced Por Dos to align with the swell. Of course, all this setting up of the line, etc. inside the "washing machine" made poor Mark really seasick. He throw up three times in rapid succession and dragged himself to bed. ☹

Thank you for saving the rest of us! Por Dos resumed her quiet bow riding of the swell and we were all happy enough. Finally, the N wind died and the swell decreased so at 9 pm we left the anchorage and motored north towards Brindisi and onto Viestes.
