day 3

Here we are day three. Still decent wind and not too much in the way of seas. The forecast is to slightly build but overall appears free of any real chaos. We are all settling into our daily routines. We have divided the 8 PM to 8 AM overnight into four 3 hour shifts. During the day we are taking three 4 hour shifts which allows one person to be off which means theyâre cooking that night. We have devised a new double wing sail system which utilizes both headsails and help us run down wind Which is exactly what we need to do. Slowly but surely our compatriots which left with are melting away into the distance and the are disappearing from our Navigation screen. The ocean is becoming more and more our own.
As far as the crew, Mark is El Capitan and his falling in love with his boat. David is our resident rigging expert and foredeck man. Chris is our technical person and understands electronic manuals earning him the nickname âSpockâ. And I do whatever is needed. We have an excellent crew and are functioning very well. All is good here, being surrounded by nature and not having to listen to any trumpnanigans.
