The wind let up yesterday, but came back with a vengeance this morning. It is now blowing SE at 20+, but it's warm. We went to the beach this morning to see huge waves crashing on the coral 10 feet above the sea.
Today we are volunteering at the Museum here in Hope Town. This has really been a wonderful "home" for almost 2-months. We never dreamed we would stay in one spot more than a few days. We have made friends, mostly with people living in the cottages here. It seems to be the high tourist time of year so far because the houses are full & there are lots of children.

Today is Saturday March 28th. We woke up to an interesting event. Our outboard motor went for a swim sometime during the night. Of course outboards don't swim well in salt water. The truth is one of the tubes on our dingy deflated sometime during the night and the engine went under water. We got it off the dingy and pulled it up onto the boat, cleaned the spark plug and changed the oil, but haven't been able to get it started yet. We also are out of oil so on Monday we will get some fresh oil and and a new spark plug. Then we will try to start it again. Anyway it is a good thing that we have a hard dingy also and some strong oars. John can build some muscles and lose a few pounds from all the good meals we have been having.
On a better note, a friend by the name of Gary that works at the Hope Town Harbor Lodge brought us 4 fresh lobsters for dinner tonight. So we will eat well tonight. And today has been another beautiful day here in the Bahamas in spite of our engine problems.
