Boat Yard Fiji Style

11 June 2013 | Vuda Point Marina
Rod
As you can see, we are hauled out for bottom paint. It is quite a lovely place for it with a nice bar/restaurant on site. We are contracted with Yacht Help for our work, and they are proving to be very good. The crew on our boat are all from Rotuma, so we have a bit of a connection.

This is a simple haul out, so we hope to be back in the water by week's end, but we do want to replace our prop shaft seal, and the part may not be in stock. We are told that this should not be a problem, and that they can get it in just a couple days,

We have many nice neighbors from all over, and we often have dinner together at the restaurant, play music on the lawn, etc. It is nice - boat yard Fiji style! It may be the yard, but it still feels like cruising and fun.

Best to you always,

Rod and Elisabeth
