It has been a good day. We made really good time with the spare headsail, an old North that we got with the boat. It's a good sail.

Elisabeth is feeling much better. She can manage to walk a few steps on her own. I tell her not to get too greedy, but it is really heartening to see her sitting up and cheerful. As we close, I am trying to contact the Vila Hospital for emergency service to get Elisabeth off the boat. No such luck. The young girl I talked to knew nothing. I called an emergency ambulance and paramedic service, and was told to call back in the morning. For certain, we will need a stretcher to get her off the boat. We have no Bosun chair to lift her off with a halyard. Rather, we have a climbing harness, and I think it would too uncomfortable, maybe exacerbate the injury.

So then, we continue our efforts in the morning, and settle in for the night. It is blowing a nice gentle and comfortabke breeze, the night is beautiful, and the sea is very smooth and lazy. Good.
