Yesterday, we woke early and got ready for the crossing of Bligh Water. The forecast was for light winds at what looked to be a"close hauled" angle for us. Perfect. We had a beautiful sail, close-hauled in light air and flat seas. This makes Proximity fly. We crossed Vanua Levu's reef at Coconut Point (easy - thanks Curly and Doug). Then had a beautiful evening anchored in 19 feet near the wharf.

This morning we awoke to a thick overcast. There was no rain in the forecast, but it looked very dark in the direction of our travel. There was wind forecast too, so we were ready for action. The wind stayed light until we were just a few miles out. Good! We did get a bit of rain along the way, but really only enough to wash off the salt from our departure day. We pulled into the Copra Shed Marina about 2:00. We made very good time.

So we are now here. We are going to relax for a few days then look eastward to Wallis. We are happy.
