Waiting for Weather

17 May 2015 | Copra Shed Marina, Savusavu, Fiji
Rod
When we arrived here in Savusavu, we thought a day or two and then we would be on our way to Wallis. Well, things change. At least the wind forecasts do, so we now find ourselves 5 days here looking to leave no sooner than Friday or Saturday. Weather cannot be rushed, and there are two lows "out there" causing some wind and weather.

Accordingly, we find ourselves reconnecting with old friends and meeting new ones. Our old friend Phillip on Blue Bie is here, and it is really quite nice to visit with him again. He is just down from the Marshall Islands for another season of kite boarding.

We are happy but itching to leave. We were just getting into travel mode when we arrived, and now we are really feeling the call to travel. Boat is loaded up, and she says "Let's go!". All in due time. meanwhile, we cleared out a camera that had some photos we took at Cloud 9, the floating bar out by Musket Cove, and we found this one. Looks like a nice couple.
