We have had a break from sailing and been home for a 2 month visit since september, great! We were so happy to see all our family and friends!
Claude, the girls and I flew back to Panama on seperate flights, but we arrived on the same day. Christmas and New Year was spent in the Perlas with friends and then we spent a looong 2-3 months getting the boat ready for the pacific trip. The jobs seemed endless!
We left Panana end of March and were well underway to the Galapagos islands, but 280 miles from our destination we deviated to Ecuador, partly because we were just so very tired of beating into the SW, but also because our diesel reserves were too low, the fridge packed up....endless!
Anyway, we have had 2 wonderful weeks in Ecuador. This is a new cruising destination and I have loads of info. Most cruisers leave their yachts here, in a calm anchorage, safe to do some inland travel. They visit Peru, and all end up seeing Macchu Picchu, the old inca village/temples.
I will post this information when we reach Galapagos - about 3 weeks time. Watch this space, lots of info coming.
Thanx for all your mails and support, please remember that I cannot answer all the mails individually, but I have access to all the mails and truly appreciate them.
Please sign our GUESTBOOK - we love to see who has visited.
